Tomorrow’s Smart Touch Home Entertainment Computer is Now Available
The HP TouchSmart IQ500 Series PC
BERLIN, Germany, June 10, 2008 – HP today unveiled a new generation of PC designed specifically for touch. The HP TouchSmart IQ500 Series PC, which is about the size of a messenger bag, recognizes the movements of a finger as it sweeps across the super-slim touch screen, giving users easy access to information, entertainment and social networks.
Powered by HP’s propriety software that recognizes the human touch, consumers can use their fingers to play their favorite music, easily slide songs around to create new playlists, drag corners of a photo to zoom in, quickly check the weather or watch TV, all without the use of a keyboard or mouse.
Other features include:
- Wireless keyboard and integrated WLAN that offer a truly wire-free experience
- Low-profile wireless keyboard that is easily stowed away when not in use
- Adjustable screen that tilts for maximum comfort
- HP Ambient Light to see the keyboard in the dark
- A generous 4 GB(3) of memory
- Choice of a massive 350, 500 or 750GB high-speed hard drive

(2) Dual Core is a new technology designed to improve performance of multi-threaded software products and hardware-aware multitasking operating systems and may require appropriate operating system software for full benefit. Not all customers or software applications will necessarily benefit from use of this technology. 64-bit computing on Intel architecture requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, operating system, device drivers and applications enabled for Intel 64 architecture. Processors will not operate (including 32-bit operation) without an Intel 64 architecture-enabled BIOS. Performance will vary depending on hardware and software configurations.
