HP Debuts New Business-rugged EliteBook and Unveils New Designs for Entire Business Notebook Portfolio

BERLIN, Germany, 10 June 2008 – HP today introduced the stylish and durable, aircraft-inspired HP EliteBook 6930p Notebook PC as one of 11 newly designed products added to its business notebook portfolio that merges functionality with sophisticated design.

With a starting weight of only 2.1 kg, the HP EliteBook 6930p is equipped with a 14.1-inch diagonal widescreen display that also allows for an optional, mercury-free Illumite-Lite LED display . It features an inner magnesium shell with a unique honeycomb pattern that is thermally bonded to anodized aluminium for a solid construction.   Optional add-ons include a second hard drive support for RAID 0 (striping) for performance or RAID 1 (mirroring) for data protection,  a 2-megapixel webcam with Business Card Reader software and a full range of integrated wireless and security solutions.

• A one-touch HP QuickLook 2 button that provides within seconds, access to e-mail, calendar, task and contact information without having to wait for the operating system to boot up.
• HP SpareKey that addresses the hassles of forgotten passwords by using a sequence of three pre-determined personal identification questions to gain immediate entry into the system
• HP Privacy Manager (Chat & Sign) which are built-in tools to protect one from online identity theft by offering encrypted instant messaging and email, and digital signatures
• HP File Sanitiser which permanently deletes files and personally identifiable information from the notebook with military grade standard
